Dance Closet
We’re thrilled to begin building The Dance Closet: a joyful collection of gently used dancewear, costumes, shoes, tights, and dance bags that can be passed along to children ready to discover the magic of dance. Those once-loved items tucked away in a closet can become someone else’s first leotard, first costume, or first step onto the dance floor. By donating items that meet our guidelines, you can help give dance wear a second life-and help a young dancer feel confident, included, and ready to shine.
Collect your old dance stuff
Gather up all of your old, pretty, gently used dance costumes, dresses, etc. and put them in a bag.
Donate them to us

We will send you a thank you acknowledgement letter so you can use the value of your donation for tax write-off purposes!
Dance Closet Donations
Of course, we greatly appreciate any and all donations to our Dance Closet. However, we would appreciate donations that are in decent condition for the children to wear. Below is a brief list of items we hope to accept versus items we cannot accept.
Accepted
- Clean costumes in good condition
- Leotards, skirts, warmups, dance bags and cover-ups
- New tights and socks
- Clean, gently used basic ballet or jazz shoes
- Unopened hair supplies
- Costume racks, garment bags and storage bins
Not accepted
- Torn or heavily stained clothing
- Used tights or intimate garments
- Used pointe shoes, which are individually fitted and may be unsafe for another dancer
- Items requiring major repair
